-Galleticas (a word which groups both the cracker and cookie families into one) for “breakfast”, “lunch” and “dinner”
-Crispey Kreme being the chicest place to bring a date

Para el cumpleaños de mi mejor amiga Johi, yo interpreté “Killing Me Softly” en el Darby del distrito Meatpacking de Nueva York. Al mirar hacia atrás, esta es una de esas noches en las que ciertos aspectos de mi destino como artista estuvieron presentes: Johi representa en gran parte cómo empecé a hablar español … y la selección de la canción de esa noche, que siempre ha sido siempre la canción más favorita de Johi para oírme a cantar, se convirtió en la influencia indirecta de mi decisión de hacer Bachata … luego más sobre esto.
For my best friend Johi’s birthday, I performed “Killing Me Softly” at The Darby in NYC’s Meatpacking District. In looking back, this is one of those nights where certain aspects of my destiny as an artist were present: Johi is a large part of how I came to speak Spanish… and the song choice that night, which has always been Johi’s most favorite song to hear me sing, became an indirect influencer in my decision to do Bachata… but more on that later.
